Hello Friends!
My name is Sharon and I am the artist and maker behind the Riamelin brand. I live near the sea in the beautiful county of Fife in the country of Scotland, with my partner Martin and our wee Shih Tzu, Zelda.
Riamelin, pronounced Ree-ah-mel-in, is an online name I’ve used for well over 10 years now. Actually, it’s probably closer to 20 years. It was created in my computer game playing days where I often played a Druid named Ria Melin. Ria, taken from my favourite song at the time - Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac - the game generated the Melin as my surname and I loved it! The next games I played only wanted one name and so Riamelin was merged into one and I’ve been using it ever since. I made lots of good friends in my gaming days and Martin and I met while playing World of Warcraft… it took us a while to get sorted but we’ve now been living together for over 10 years. 🥰
I’ve always loved art; drawing and creating have always been a part of my life. My Dad worked in a paper mill so I always had paper to scribble on when I was growing up. These days I prefer digital art and I work exclusively on my iPad creating designs for enamel pins, drawing Highland Cows and working on new products.
Scotland is such a beautiful country and I’ve been lucky to find such inspiration here, every single day which you’ll likely see in all my work. 💜
